Microphor sanitation systems, designed to handle human waste and wastewater, include air-assisted toilets, vacuum toilets, recirculating toilets, biological digesting treatment tanks, retention tanks, and a variety of optional equipment such as fresh water supply tanks. Toilet models that use between 16 ounces and 2 quarts of water per flush are available, and toilets are available in stainless steel and powder-coated stainless steel. Waste systems are available with standard-sized plastic tanks for in-car installations. Metal tank options include double-walled, insulated tank construction with heating systems for cold weather protection for both freight and transit applications. All treatment tanks are available with Microphor’s patented synthetic media. Microphor also manufactures refrigerators and ice boxes for locomotive use, as well as ditch light controllers and accessories. New additions include locomotive recirculating toilets, vacuum toilets for high use transit applications, and toilet room modules for both locomotives and transit installations.
