The Non-icing System (NIS), is a specialized, non-conductive pantograph that provides a proactive solution to icing. This innovative solution uses a felt roller on the head of the pantograph to coat the contact wire with glycerin, effectively reducing the temperature at which water will freeze. This is a perfect solution for environments that are prone to ice on the contact wire.

FleetONE™

FleetONE™ is a multi-sensor trending database product that extends the capability of your Wayside Monitoring hardware interface. Facilitating vehicle monitoring and data mining via key vehicle metrics, delivered through a web-based application. FleetONE™ allows for the import of third party wayside sensor products thus providing a single data interface to the User.
 
Responding to an industry requirement for a standardized software portal, Track IQ has developed FleetONE™ – to integrate a range of wayside monitoring equipment data into a single system. Instead of each condition monitoring device providing its own method to access its data, FleetONE™ provides a single interface for users to work with all condition-monitoring information associated with a user’s rolling stock.
 
Leveraging this consolidation of data, FleetONE provides a number of customizable reports on the condition of the vehicle fleet. It also provides a powerful “search engine” that allows users to compose, save, edit and run ad-hoc searches on the database. This allows users to experiment with and determine their own condition based maintenance rules.
 
FleetONE™ is also integrated with vehicle maintenance management systems such as SAP and Maximo. When integrated, FleetONE™ can:

  • Automatically generate work orders based on maintenance rules configured by a system administrator within the search engine.
  • Import information about completed maintenance activities for inclusion in the generated reports.

FleetONE is built as an expandable, modular system that interfaces to other vendor’s wayside sensors. Because each of these sensor systems are supported by installing an optional module and these remain fully independent of the overall FleetONE system. In this way, FleetONE serves as a high-level data integrator that does not interfere with or restrict the standalone operation of each of the systems in any way.
 
The core of FleetONE™ is an SQL database software application containing data from all sensors integrated at a train, vehicle and axle and wheel/bearing level.

Front Rods and Components

G & B Specialties’ swivel front rods are designed for high strength and severe service with its forged swivel connections on either end and may be used to advantage with both hand and power-operated switches. This type of front rod is more ruggedly constructed than those of the rigid type where flexibility must be provided to permit application to switch points; which do not stay in alignment. The swivel front rod provides the rigidity in the vertical plane desired for support of the switch point, without the use of pins; which will wear, and without the development of stresses caused by imperfect alignment of switch points with respect to each other or with respect to the switch movement. A swivel front rod is comprised of a front bar and two swivel point lugs. The front bar is turned up at each end for attachment to the point lugs by tee bolts. The point lugs are curved to fit the tee bolt head serving as a vertical pivot pin, and the engaging faces of the front bar ends are also curved to fit the point lugs. The hole for the tee bolt in each end of the front bar is a relatively close fit, but the corresponding holes in the point lugs are slotted, thus the point lugs need not be at exactly 90 degrees with the front bar but may be swiveled in a horizontal plane. The front bar is insulated at the lock rod connection lug. The length of a swivel front rod is secured by the meshing of the serrations, thereby eliminating wear of the rod bolts and rod bolt holes. It is adjustable in 1/8” increments, providing a wide range of lengths to accommodate the various thicknesses of reinforcing bars and the various switch point openings typically encountered. Swivel front rods for other than standard track gage are available as well.
