The latest technology in keeping your main reservoir free of liquid water and oil is the patented model 413 Auto-Stop Drain Valve. The drain valve opens with just a pulse of air and only stays open until all the liquid has been expelled. The 413 Auto Stop Drain Valve has an independent manual drain and is designed such that the automatic drain cannot be turned off. No more flooded reservoirs and air dryers due to automatic drain valves being left in the closed position. The design results in far less air usage and far lower noise levels than a conventional main reservoir drain valve. The 413 Auto Stop Drain Valve is available with heater and thermostat for cold climates.

The 455 Series SafeSet Wheel Style Electric Locomotive Parking Brake was designed for installation in GE locomotives and is a will fit in the same space envelope as the Ellcon-National 210 Series mechanical hand brake. As with the 419 Series, the patented torque gate technology allows going directly from manual mode of operation to automatic mode of operation and vice versa without changing any settings or moving a lever. 500 Series Sander Control Valve

The 500 Series Sander Control Valve is the "Heart of the Diesel Electric Sanding System" for inboard and outboard sanding. The "3-in-1" System Charges (sand is delivered quickly to the point of contact between the wheel and rail), Sands (sand flow is metered at a constant level), and Cleans (a second blast of sand and air to prevent build up). It does this each time the valve is actuated manually or as programmed by the on-board adhesion system. GW sander control valves are designed with pipe brackets to permit easy maintenance as required. As a result, no air connections need to be disconnected saving out-of- service time for your equipment. NPT connections are standard, however BSPP connections are available upon request. Several control orifices are available to control sand output and meet your operating needs. Manual "Clean Out Jets" permit the integral orifices to be cleared of any build-up or contamination as required. Epoxy impregnated and encapsulated "Class F continuous duty" coils in a variety of DC and AC input voltages are standard equipment with Faston tab (quick disconnect) or terminal block connection with or without suppression devices.

The 506 Double-Acting Bell Ringer is the standard in the North American locomotive industry for reliability and performance. The clapper is designed to strike the bell on a continuous or intermittent basis as controlled by the operator with our 616 Operating Valve or through some automatic means as developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Unlike earlier technology, the 506 incorporates a unique "dual-action" motion of the integral pneumatic motor and piston. As a result, the clapper swings free with no return thrust or force on the piston resulting in longer life. The pneumatic motor and piston is a cartridge like mechanism that may be changed quickly without breaking any pipe connections or using special tools.

573 Series Sand Trap with Rotary Shut-Off

The 573 Series Sand Trap with Rotary Shut-Off is designed to provide uniform sanding to enhance locomotive traction. It has an adjusting nut and nozzle combination that increases or decreases the amount of sand delivered to the point of contact between the rail and wheel interface. The integral Shut-Off permits the sand trap and controller to be removed without draining all the sand from the sandbox. The T-handle wrench provided in the quick flange allows the sanding hose to be disconnected with ease as well. Air passage is unrestricted, as there are no orifices to clog. Full throat opening for sand flow and a lar ge opening of 1 1/2" for removal of foreign or large objects. Fixed delivery traps are available upon request. This preset feature can prevent costly sand waste.

The 580 Series Automatic Drain Valve is a high-capacity, double-seated model that is designed to exhaust liquid contaminants from the air reservoir and/or 824 Series Centrifugal Air Filter with Coalescer through dual export ports. The valve is actuated pneumatically by either the compressor unloader solenoid valve or other pneumatic sources on a cycle or regular basis, i.e. 975 Air Dryer actuating source or a locomotive microprocessor with independent solenoid valve. Consult our sales service engineering team for more information on cycling your automatic drain valve. The valve is also designed with an integral drain/shut-off feature to manually exhaust contaminants as desired. Each 580 Series Automatic Drain Valve is supplied with a flange-type mounting bracket for ease of installation on AAR type reservoirs or flange sump caps commonly used with the 824-131 Centrifugal Air Filter with Coalescer. A thermostatically controlled heater assembly is available in an assortment of voltages for severe weather applications.

The 596 Series of Two Way Check (Shuttle) Valve is manufactured with a heavy-duty corrosion-resistant iron housing. It is equipped with a total of three ports, two inlets and one outlet. This porting allows for quick change-over from desired inlet conditions to the outlet valve side. The check aspect assures that only the desired inlet signal is transmitted to the outlet port. The 596 has 3/8" NPT ports. It is enhanced with our in-line cartridge design that eliminates the need to break any pipe connections resulting in a significant reduction in costly out-of-service time during maintenance. The check valve cartridge is designed with or without a spring at customer request and a stainless steel shuttle that seals on an o-ring to eliminate compressed air leakage.
