Model 7 Speed Verifier

The Model 7 Verifier is a portable unit that provides a quick, accurate and foolproof means of checking and calibrating the operation of speed-dependent equipment, such as speed indicators, event recorders, transition controllers etc. Following a simple menu driven display, the proper functioning of a speed-dependent system can be “verified” throughout its complete range of operation. The Model 7 Verifier is programmable for nearly all-possible signal input configurations. In addition, various cable assemblies allow for connection to most speed-dependent terminations, including being compatible with previous Model 6 “Barco” units.

MSD HVC II Ignition Coil

MSD HVC II Ignition Coil

When the mad scientists at MSD were creating this 7-series ignition coil they pulled all of the good stuff out of their Pro-mag 44 coil and stuffed it into this one.
 
The HVC-2 Coil produces 48,000 volts at a stout 2-amps with only .016 ohms of primary resistance! It utilizes an iron U-Core design with a segmented bobbin molded from Rynite and wound specifically for incredible voltage capabilities, lightning quick rise time and lengthy spark duration. The Rynite housing features far spaced brass primary terminals and a well protected secondary tower for increased spark isolation.
 
The housing is completely potted with an epoxy compound for vibration resistance with mounts. For use with MSD 7-Series Ignitions.

Billet and Pro-Billet share the same features except the base. Billet models have Dupont Rynite glass-reinforced bases; MSD Ignition Pro-Billet models have aluminum bases.
 
Billet Aluminum Housings made using CNC mills form flawless flex-free components that are accurate to within .001" without weak spots or porosity.
 
Maintenance-Free Magnetic Pickups trigger MSD ignitions (except crank trigger models). Mounted to the distributor base, the pickup plugs directly into an MSD ignition control & a trigger signal is produced as the shaft-mounted zinc-plated reluctor passes by.
 
Shaft & Ball Bearing Guides: MSD polished steel distributor shafts receive a coating that reduces friction and resists corrosion. Each shaft is guided accurately by a sealed ball bearing located at the top of the housing. At the bottom, an extra long sintered bushing controls the shaft. This combination spins smoothly and delivers consistent sparks even in a 10,000 RPM racing environment.
 
Adjustable Mechanical Advance: MSD's adjustable mechanical advance assembly allows accurate modification of the advance curve to match a specific application. The advance plate is stamped and machined from chrome moly, weight pins are staked then TIG welded, and both receive a corrosion-resistant coating. Nylon bushings are installed to ensure smooth weight movement as centrifugal force advances the timing. The advance assembly is mounted on top of the distributor for easy-to-access adjustment. Three sets of advance springs and four stop bushings are included to set up 24 curves.
 
Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run Distributors are ideal upgrades for outdated and/or bulky systems, and they couldn't be simpler: drop one in, connect three wires, and fire up the engine. Their ignition module creates a powerful inductive spark that improves fuel mixture combustion for quick starts, smooth idle, and great performance.
 
Compatibility: Except Ready-to-Run and OE models, MSD distributors require an MSD ignition control.
