994-600 Series Air Dryer System

The newest air dryer in the Wabtec line is the AirSmart™ 994-600 series. The AirSmart™ bring state of the art technology to mobile air drying. Patented architecture and control allow the dryer to purge and switch only based on total demand and inlet conditions. The result is a uniform outlet humidity, drastic reduction in valve cycles and air usage. The data collected is monitored and used for activity based maintenance, fault detection and display and health checks at start-up and on demand. Data can be accessed and downloaded through the programming or real time through the Ethernet connection.

998 Series One Way Check Valves

The 998 Series One Way Check Valves are made with a heavy-duty corrosion-resistant iron housing. The 998 is perfect for extremely high air flows with its 1" NPT porting. Each have a soft "O" ring style leak proof sealing and an in-line cartridge. The cartridge design allows for in-line servicing resulting in a significant reduction in costly out of service time during maintenance. The check valve cartridge is designed with a spring for positive action and stainless steel shuttle that seals on an "O" ring to eliminate compressed air leakage. Several configurations with orifices are available and marked for quick reference. In addition, the GW 5998-050 Series Orifice Adapter can be used with the 998 Series Check Valve to control flow and eliminate the need for a second in-line check valve.

Accufab 105mm MAX Throttle Body

Accufab's 105mm throttle body is the largest diameter throttle body available for use on the1986-1993 Ford 5.0L Mustang. Our products are made from high quality billet aluminum, no castings or coatings! Each billet part is CNC machined and then the exterior aluminum is polished to a mirror finish. The shafts are CNC machined from stainless steel, the throttle blade is brass and we use only the best bearings, bushings, screws and other component parts available.
 
The 105mm throttle body features a split shaft design which helps prevent the shaft from breaking under intense pressure.
 
Also, the throttle body is available in two versions:
Standard Race version for use with 4.5" hose/tubing and standard hose clamps or MAX version for use with a 4.5" Accufab Clamp and matching ferrule. Both throttle body versions measure 105mm at the blade and each has a 4.5" inlet. There is no vacuum elbow and 4.5" tubing is required. Also, the 105mm cable bracket is solid aluminum and is 3/8" thick with provisions to mount the stock cable bracket only.
 
Standard Race version or MAX version? Ask yourself, "How would I prefer to connect my hose to my throttle body?" If your answer is, "with a standard hose and hose clamps" then you would use our part number F105 which is our standard throttle body with a small lip on the inlet which will allow you to slip your hose over the throttle body and then clamp it down with hose clamps.
 
However, if you would rather have a more secure connection with the use of an Accufab clamp, then you would use our part number F105MAX*. Which brings us to your next question: " What is a MAX throttle body anyway?"
 
Simply, it's a 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L style throttle body with a unique twist. Instead of the opening having a small lip on it, the MAX has a ferrule machined into the throttle body design which will allow the use of an Accufab clamp to connect the tubing to the throttle body. Accufab has two throttle body designs for the vehicles listed below:

  •  1996 - 1998 Mustang Cobra
  • 2001 Bullitt

The first throttle body is our standard ELLIPTICAL single blade which flows 1284 cfm compared to the stock twin blade design which flows 1089 cfm. Dyno tests on a stock vehicle show a 5 to 7 hp gain.
 
Please note: The stock intake manifold needs to be modified in order to accommodate the single blade. There is a bridge of material that needs to be ground away for the blade to clear.
 
The second throttle body is our special OVAL single blade and it flows 1696 cfm which is an additional 607 cfm over stock. However, we manufactured this throttle body specifically for engines making 550hp+ or using a KenneBell supercharger. Horsepower gains vary depending on your vehicle modifications.
 
There is some confusion about telling the difference between each throttle body. The standard elliptical blade (1284 cfm) is shaped more like an egg. The oval blade (1696 cfm) has top and bottom edges that are completely straight and the blade is only rounded on the ends.

The following Accufab throttle body has been designed for the vehicles listed below:

This Accufab throttle body easily bolts on to the stock, unmodified intake manifold and will increase total airflow with no unacceptable side effects, such as whistling or negative idle characteristics. Throttle response is greatly improved with the high quality component parts used.
 
The most common question we are asked is, "How come this throttle body doesn't have a single blade?" Honestly, our engineers found it necessary to keep the dual blade design for the main reason of idle air control bypass concerns. This throttle body is unique because the idle air control holes are actually machined into each barrel of the throttle body and then join into a single hole opening on the backside where the throttle body mounts to the intake. Thus, our engineers could not change the dual blades into a single blade opening because there was no alternative way to take care of the idle air control easily and efficiently.

Accufab 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra Throttle Body

Accufab 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra Throttle Body

Accufab has developed a high flow throttle body and power inlet for the 2003-2004 Cobra. Accufab's throttle body flows 1696 cfm compared to stock 1089 cfm. Our engineers tested the stock inlet or elbow and noticed that it's design was too restrictive to accept the additional airflow our throttle body moves. Hence, we developed an aftermarket performance inlet which allows the air to flow on a straighter path directly into the intake, accounting for the major increase in performance.
 
Furthermore, the throttle body and power inlet combination, dyno testing has shown an increase of 10 horsepower by 2000 RPM, all the way up to 25 horsepower improvement at 6400 RPM. This is rear wheel horsepower. Torque also improved dramatically across the complete power range.
 
If you have a KenneBell or Whipple supercharger with a mono-blade opening, you should order the throttle body only. We do not recommend using the throttle body only with the stock inlet because of the airflow restrictions explained above. Also, the throttle body has an air passage slot machined within the wall and continuing to the backside of the part for idle air control purposes. The slot matches up exactly with the idle air control area on the power inlet when mounted together.
 
The throttle body is top quality billet aluminum and precision CNC machined to our engineering specifications. It is only available with a high polished finish. Accufab's power inlet is cast aluminum and CNC machined. It is available either polished, powder coated gray or a carbon fiber look.

Accufab 2005-2006 Ford GT Dual Blade Throttle Body

Accufab has developed new performance parts for the 2005-2006 Ford GT. The first, is a dual blade 75mm throttle body. The throttle body is made from the finest billet aluminum, polished to a mirror finish. It also features a stainless steel split shaft, brass blades and the highest quality bushings, bearings and screws. Dyno tests on a stock vehicle have shown an increase of 4 to 5hp. However, dyno tests on our Project GT, which has other performance modifications, showed an increase of 11hp!
 
In our research, we recognized a serious problem with the stock air inlet. It is soft and flexible and will actually collapse under stock conditions. Accufab has developed an Air Inlet Support Sleeve which simply slips into the stock inlet and offers much needed wall support. This part is highly recommended for all 2005-2006 Ford GT's.

If you would like to switch from a carburetor intake to electronic fuel injection (EFI), Accufab has developed two high flow throttle bodies to meet your needs. The Accufab 4150 and 4500 series throttle bodies are made from high quality billet aluminum and then polished to a mirror finish or anodized black, blue or red.
 
The Accufab 4150 flows 1215 CFM and has four 1-3/4" brass throttle plates. The Accufab 4500 flows 2128 CFM and has four 2-1/4" brass throttle plates. Both styles have high quality progressive linkage and use late model GM electronics (push-in style) are included.
 
Also, we offer an idle air control block off, part # IAC4B, and it is available polished or anodized black, blue or red.

Accufab 80mm Throttle Body

Accufab's 80mm throttle body and blank spacer was designed to be used on the 1986-1993 Ford 5.0L Mustang. These products are made from high quality billet aluminum, no castings or coatings! Each billet part is CNC machined and then the exterior aluminum is polished to a mirror finish. The shafts are CNC machined from stainless steel and we use only the best bearings, bushings, screws and other component parts available.
 
The throttle body is only available as a Race version, meaning it measures 80mm at the blade and has a 4" inlet. There is no vacuum elbow and 4" tubing is required to go over the inlet. The 80mm spacer is solid aluminum and is 2" thick with provisions to mount the stock cable bracket only. There are no water passages or tubes. Another option is to use our 3/8\" Cable bracket.
 
Accufab has several accessories to help adapt an Accufab 5.0L Ford style throttle body to be used with GM electronics instead of Ford electronics. For example, we offer a TPS adapter to use your GM TPS or an IAC adapter to use your GM IAC.
 
We also have available throttle position sensors and if you need to relocate the IAC or block it off all together, we have developed parts to help accomplish these goals.

The 90mm throttle body features a split shaft design which helps prevent the shaft from breaking under intense pressure.
 
Also, the throttle body is available in two versions:

  • Standard Race version for use with 4" hose/tubing and standard hose clamps or
  • MAX version for use with a 4" Accufab Clamp and matching ferrule
  • Both throttle body versions measure 90mm at the blade and each has a 4" inlet. There is no vacuum elbow and 4" tubing is required. Standard Race version or MAX version? Ask yourself, "How would I prefer to connect my hose to my throttle body?" If your answer is, "with a standard hose and hose clamps" then you would use our part number F90 which is our standard throttle body with a small lip on the inlet which will allow you to slip your hose over the throttle body and then clamp it down with hose clamps.
 
However, if you would rather have a more secure connection with the use of an Accufab clamp, then you would use our part number F90MAX*. Which brings us to your next question: " What is a MAX throttle body anyway?"
 
Simply, it's a 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L style throttle body with a unique twist. Instead of the opening having a small lip on it, the MAX has a ferrule machined into the throttle body design which will allow the use of an Accufab clamp to connect the tubing to the throttle body. All parts are sold separately. When using our MAX throttle body, coupled with our clamshell clamp assembly, every enthusiast will achieve.
